Dinki Di Discounts first began serving the local community of Murwillumbah in 1988. Current business owners, Ross & Linley Benard, saw an open opportunity in the discount retail industry. Drawing on their previous industry knowledge allowed for the successful venture of Dinki Di Discounts.

After establishment in Murwillumbah, Dinki Di Discounts expanded its operations to the Tweed City Shopping Centre. Dinki Di Discounts then moved to serve the community of Burleigh Heads for 18 years. Today, it continues operations in Murwillumbah and in Coolangatta.
